About the role: Specialist Flat Roof Estimator - reporting to the Estimating Director - mainly office based.

We are looking for candidates with the following experience:

  • Must have flat roof estimating experience preferably single ply membrane systems (Sarnafil knowledge useful though other product knowledge welcome)
  • Ideally sufficiently experienced to make an immediate contribution - to hit the ground running as fast as possible
  • Good understanding of new build and refurbishment design and logistical considerations
  • Knowledge of regulation compliance
  • Proven track record of sales and opportunity management
  • Confident to handover and explain secured quotes to contract managers
  • Experience of issuing and managing variation cost
  • Microsoft Office literacy essential
  • LIve within a sustainably commutable distance to Reading, with own transport
  • Positive and friendly attitude working within a professional office

  • The company are one of four companies within a specialist construction group of companies and undertake flat roofs of all types, sizes, and complexity including Green and Brown Roofs
  • The product offering is Sika Sarnafil - currently looking to add other products
  • Based just outside Reading town centre, they operate predominantly in the South ie West London, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Middlesex, Surrey, Hampshire
  • The client base is diverse - domestic and commercial divisions - they have gained a reputation for specialising in more complex and interesting projects
  • They are a small company - 5 in the office and 15 on the roofs with the majority of the labour being directly employed - thus benefitting from a loyal, skilful and long serving workforce
  • The company concentrate on delivering quality from end to end and pride themselves on doing a good job, first time

There are about 70 employees within the Group and all based in the same building, so while the roofing company is relatively small, it's part of a bigger set up so an interesting place to work where all the staff and passionate about the work and company as a whole.
