Role: Fleet Manager

Location: Monaghan

Salary: Negotiable DOE

Our client that specialise in the design, manufacture and supply of a vast range of concrete products.

The company supplies construction projects of varying scale across Ireland and the UK and have an extensive fleet of artic and rigid trucks, trailers and light commercial vehicles along with heavy mobile plant such as loading shovels and forklifts.

The duties of the Fleet Manager will include, but are not limited to;

  • Planning, organising and co-ordinating CVRT's, periodic inspections & servicing for all trucks, trailers, vans & breakdowns across several sites
  • Planning, organising and co-ordinating servicing, GA1 & brake testing for the machinery fleet
  • Ensuring the upkeep of all maintenance records, documentation and associated paperwork
  • Maintenance and upkeep of tachographs, RSA submissions and any associated fleet or driver records to include training and accident investigation.
  • Liaising with management, workshop & drivers with scheduling repairs, inspections & servicing
  • Responsible for efficient management of staff, stock and purchasing related to workshop and fleet maintenance activities
  • Assist the team to deliver on company objectives with regard to fleet requirements

Desirable criteria;

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong ability to organise, plan and problem-solve
  • Workshop, Maintenance and/or Transport Experience (associated qualifications advantageous)
  • Hands-on experience coordinating, motivating and managing a small team
  • IT Skills including the ability to use basic Microsoft Software packages
  • Commercial, Environmental, Quality & Safety Awareness (associated qualifications advantageous)
  • CPC Transport Manager Qualification advantageous

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Fleet Managerial: 2 years (preferred)
