Flood Risk Engineer Job in Bristol

I have a Flood Risk Engineer job available with a rapidly growing employee-owned multi-disciplinary consultancy in their office in Bristol. As the successful Flood Risk Engineer, you'll be joining the sustainable development and delivery team which provide a variety of services such as infrastructure design, traffic engineering and transport planning.

Established 30 years ago, this multi-disciplinary consultancy operates across the UK with 8 regional offices which are situated in the North West, Yorkshire, Midlands, South West, East Anglia and London. Current head count is at 70 but with the growth plans in place, and their current workload, they are looking to expand the business in the next 12 months. The services this consultancy offer span across town planning, architecture, masterplanning, landscape architecture and heritage.

Role & Responsibilities

- Work closely with planning and masterplanning teams on development layouts

- Flood risk assessments

- Drainage strategics and design

- Take the technical lead on projects

- Meet company expectations regarding fee earning targets

- Optimise new business and cross-selling opportunities

- Mentor and support other members of the team

- Support the Associate Directors and Directors.

Required Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in a Flood Risk role

- Relevant degree

- Experience using WinDES/MircoDrainage and AutoCAD

- Experience winning new business

- Hydraulic modelling model an advantage but not essential.

- SuDS experience would be an advantage but not essential.
