FM Engineer
Salary between £35,000 to £42,000 depending on experience
Central London
We are a London based consultancy firm who specialises in the field of building services engineering. We provide expertise in the engineering services that make a building work.
Our FM position is suited to a person with 5-10 years of relevant experience, in-depth knowledge of commercial facilities with substantial practical experience in building services.
You will conduct building inspections of several types and draft technical reports. While there are templates available, you will be required to uphold a high command of English both in your report writing as well as client and contractor liaison.
Responsibilities:
Undertake site inspections and surveys at various buildings and providing technical reports.
* Review of all necessary paperwork that a building should have; statutory compliance, health andsafety, fire services, water hygiene.
* Maintenance management, contractor liaison and manage contractor meetings.
* Client correspondence.
* Efficientand timely issue of reports.
* Understanding of building's leases and financial costing for lifecycle and technical due diligence.
* Ability to estimate costs for remedial works or replacement on engineering services.
* Technical fault findings and analysis of mechanical, electrical and public health services relating to most building types.
Qualifications / Experience:
To be considered for this role, you should hold the following:
* Degree in a Building Services or related discipline is preferred but not essential.
* Experience in similar working environment is essential. Minimum of 5 years required.
* Excellent use of Microsoft Office.
* Excellent understanding of the engineering services.
* Excellent command of English both written and spoken.
* Member of CIBSE, BIFM, IET or other professional body is preferred.
