Job Title: Freelance Quantity Surveyor
Sector: Offsite Construction - Modular
Location: Hull
Day Rate:£300- £320 per day

  • Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience of working with education or residential contracts?
  • Would you like to gain experience within the modular construction industry to progress your career?


You will be joining a leading player in the modular construction sector, working on permanent modular new builds across education and residential sectors. This is a great opportunity for any Quantity Surveyor to branch into the ever growing offsite modular construction industry and will give you the knowledge to progress further within the sector.

Whilst predominantly office based, you can expect some business travel to attend sites as required to understand the progression and any issues. This role reports to the Commercial Manager and you will be working within a team with four other Quantity Surveyors. A strong and inclusive team culture awaits you in a business with very low staff turnovers who take a real interest in the well-being of their people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the clients on their accounts, applications and seek approval where needed
  • Work closely with Project and Site Managers
  • Manage sub contract activities, work orders, payments, final accounts etc
  • Prepare and issue reports for Commercial Manager


The successful candidates' skills and/or qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
  • Proficient in JCT, NEC and Bespoke contracts
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • MS Word and ES Excel experience
  • Strong client facing experience
  • Modular or offsite construction knowledge is desirable but not essential
