We're looking for a Full Stack Software Developer to join our Highways team where you will be involved in all stages of the development and application life cycle. From requirements gathering through design, development, testing, deployment, and support of the proposed solution - helping to shape the future direction of the product.

The team is also responsible for operational management of the application so you will be involved in designing solutions that we can jointly manage/support, avoiding unnecessary complexity, and modifying the designs/implementations based upon user feedback and live system behaviour. Knowledge of site reliability concepts would be beneficial as the solution must be resilient and you will be required to assist addressing live issues. Location: UK wide - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office

Salary: up to £55k

Responsibilities

As a full stack software developer, you will be working in small team who are responsible for the design, delivery and support of a web-based Highways contract management system which is used across multiple contracts in the UK.

Your day to day will include:
  • Full development life cycle, taking concepts through design, development, testing, deployment and support
  • Delivering secure and reliable solutions to meet client requirements in a pragmatic manner
  • Investigating and addressing support issues
Who are we looking for?

This role of Software Developer is great for you if are:
  • Proficient in JavaScript, C# / .Net Framework or a similar language
  • ASP.NET / ASP.NET MVC / MS SQL Server / T-SQL
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently
  • Desire to continuously learn
