Each prison has its own purpose built OFSTED registered education department, boasting with both fully equipped classrooms for academic subjects and custom assembled workshops for vocational courses. All subjects delivered are fully accredited with a view to the learners gaining recognised qualifications.
We're pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a Category C Prison in Featherstone who require experienced Functional Skills English & Maths Lecturers to join their team on an ad-hoc basis covering part and full-time hours.
Suitable candidates will meet the following criteria:
*A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in English or Maths.
*A recognised teaching qualification.
*Experience of teaching English or Maths at GCSE/Functional Skills Level in a classroom setting.
*Competent IT skills for maintaining and updating student portfolios.
*Own transport - due to the location of the prison.
*A fully enhanced DBS.

If successful, you will need to go through Prison Security Clearance, this procedure takes approximately 2 - 4 weeks. You will also be required to have a fully enhanced DBS.
