JOB TITLE: Finance and Funding Officer
LOCATION: Stamford, Lincolnshire
SALARY: £9.00 - £11.50 per hour + statutory holiday pay
QRS is working on behalf of an established Further Education College within the Lincolnshire area and is looking for a Finance and Funding Officer to effectively manage the Additional Needs Department budget.
This is a full-time role (37 hours per week) to start from September 19, with an opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate. To be suitable you must have strong administration skills and be proactive at communicating budgeting needs.
Accountabilities:
*Prepare and maintain regular reports, including allocation and effectiveness of low cost and high needs provision, against budget set and projected income.
*Maintain the funding database and work with the Support Co-ordinator to record support.
* Record the cost of support being delivered against the college's contractual agreements.
* Manage working relationships with Local Authorities regarding funding.
* Lead with the preparation of service level agreements and contracts for our partners and Local Authorities, ensuring that the College receives timely payment for the support provided.
* Ensure the college receives support funding for Higher Education students as appropriate.
* Work closely with the Head of SEND, Director of Curriculum and the College Finance Team to ensure finances are managed effectively.
* Lead on appropriate application of funding guidelines and identify access to new bid opportunities.
* Ensure updates to funding methodologies are shared and understood by the SEND team as appropriate.
* Arrange the procurement of specific equipment and resources needed for students.
* Liaison with other departments to support the cost projections for various funding streams ensuring all information is accurate.
*Liaisons with Finance department in relation to payments received from Local Authorities, analysis of expected funding and raising of invoice requests.
Suitable candidates will meet the following criteria:
* Hold Level 2 Maths and English.
* Must have experience working with financial accounts, interpreting and presenting data and maintaining accurate records.
