At Kier, the Ganger will be responsible for leading up to 10 members of the team, whilst carrying out a variety of civil engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities
The Ganger will communicate with the team members to update them on the progress of the project and ensure all work complies with Health and Safety standard. You will take part in general groundworks, concreting, steel fixing, shuttering, and lifting operations. You will ensure the plant and materials are used correctly, wastage is minimised, report non-compliance work, and undertake general site duties within civil engineering duties.
What do we need from you?
To be successful for this Ganger position, you will hold a full UK driving licence, have experience working with construction drawings and be computer literate. Experience in excavation, backfilling and reinstatement of trenches would be preferred. You will hold the relevant qualifications; CSCS card, EUSR card, Excavator 360 licence, forward tipping dumper licence, road roller, SSSTS/SMSTS card, and be a qualified signaller/slinger.
