We're looking for a Ganger to join our Utilities, Western Power Distribution team no days are the same. Within this role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and ensuring that all work is carried out safely and to programme.

Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected. In this role, you will be working on our Western Power Distribution to ensures its customers have power in their homes, businesses, schools and hospitals.

In the role of Ganger, you will work closely in a team and other colleagues to work on schemes including mains laying, pressure management, district metering and large and complex mains repairs.

Location: Based from our Gloucester depot

Contract: Permanent - Full time

Responsibilities

As a Ganger for the Western Power Distribution team your day-to-day will include:

  • Taking personal responsibility for Health & Safety performance, overall quality of work and meeting productivity targets.
  • Communicating with the ganger and other colleagues as required updating them on progress
  • Coordinating all site activities
  • Responsible for all stages of works on site which involve all aspects of Dig & Lay on the electricity network
Who are we looking for?

  • You do need to have previous Utilities experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • It would also be beneficial to hold relevant CSCS/ CPSC & NRSWA cards, along with utility experience, but not essential as we will provide full training and development
