Working in Alliance with one of the leading water utility companies in the UK, this is an exciting opportunity for a General Operative to join the Scottish Water Framework as part of the Repair & Maintenance workstream.

About the role

As Ganger, you will be working in a small gang by undertaking all drainage jobs as requested to your assigned site, ensuring where possible that work is completed on the first visit and to the required standard. You will involved in pipe repairs to sewers that are completed to Scottish guidelines, carrying out all works in accordance with Company Health & Safety policy, including wearing the correct PPE at all times and reporting all accidents to the Operations Manager and Health & Safety Manager. This role will see you ensure the site is clean and tidy as per NRSWA Standards, whilst completing all paperwork required.

What do we need from you?

To be successful in this role you will hold experience in drainage along with the following qualifications:

  • NRSWA certificate/ card
  • Confined Spaces
  • NPORS or equivalent Ticket above and below 10t (below 10t would be accepted)
  • Shoring (propriety systems) expired/ certified
  • Abrasive Wheels
  • Manual Handling
  • First Aid

    Due to the nature of the role, a Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
