Gas Engineer (Commercial) Permanent position, required for established FM company based in Essex.

£40,000 per annum (Negotiable)

Commercial Gas Engineer will join a friendly team of engineers with backgrounds in mechanical and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of installing, maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment. Candidates must be comfortable working as part of a team, communicating with supervisors and clients in person and over the phone.

Responsibilities:

  • To undertake heating maintenance reactive repair works as issued within set time frames to ensure client expectations are met
  • To proactively identify and undertake heating maintenance works (reactive works not yet identified by the client)
  • To undertake heating PPM works, within set time frames to ensure statutory compliance
  • To undertake heating improvement works as required
  • Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault finding
  • To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of all plant room equipment
  • Maintain stock control systems as directed
  • Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops and storage areas
  • Carry out on call duties as part of a rota
  • To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents / records are maintained accurately
  • To be respectful of our clients

Essential:

  • Significant previous experience in a similar service environment
  • Experience of catering
  • Must be flexible in their approach to work

Qualifications:

  • Recognised Mechanical / Electrical Trade Apprenticeship
  • ACS Commercial and Domestic Gas
  • (Domestic Gas qualifications CCN1, CEN1, CPA1)
  • (Commercial Gas qualifications CIGA1, COCN1, CBHP1, ICPN1, TPCP1A)
  • A full driving licence is essential for this role
  • Experience of BMS systems

Desirable:

  • HVAC Control Systems
  • Previous experience of PFI building maintenance
  • Legionella Awareness
  • Knowledge of the pressure system regulations
  • HIU
  • Oil

Leave entitlement: 28 days (includes Bank Holidays), increases annually until reach max. 31 days
