We are now recruiting for a General Foreman to join our Major Projects team in Bournemouth to supervise and manage a defined unit of site resources to deliver the construction and commissioning of a new Water Treatment Works.
Key Responsibilities:
In this exciting General Foreman role, you will manage safety on site including giving inductions and constructive Toolbox Talks, Daily Task Briefings and Point of Work Risk Assessments to Site Operatives. You'll manage and mentor the Section Foreman and proactively contribute to the performance monitoring of the subcontractors, while carrying out personal performance reviews when required. The General Foreman will also assign duties to Site Operatives, while having a key involvement in enabling work activities.
What do we need from you?
You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and practical application of site construction activities and management of staff, operatives, and subcontractors- preferably in water sector or equivalent regulated setting. You will hold the relevant qualifications (CSCS / SMSTS) as well as being experienced at Supervisor/Manager level and having experience in piling, large diameter pipes, pre-cast & insitu concrete, drainage, steel frame buildings and building envelope.
