General Operative

Kier Utilities is looking to recruit an Operative based in Plymouth who will be depot based participating within a gang. Ensuring safety of site, self and colleagues, quality of work and production. With a focus on reactive and maintenance work on the South West Water network.

Responsibilities:-

  • Carry out and complete repair and maintenance work on the Water Main Network as directed.
  • Inform Ganger and colleagues of problems.
  • To ensure all work complies with relevant Safety, Health and Environmental legislation.
  • Work is carried out to specification and defect free.
  • Recycling takes place whenever possible.
  • Ensure wastage of materials is kept to a minimum.
  • Work flexibly and carry out any suitable duty requested of you.
  • Represent Kier in a professional manner in both appearance and attitude
  • Be Punctual and available for work at the agreed times.
  • Full responsibility for the correct usage of PPE.
