We are now recruiting for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Highways team in Park Gate, Fareham to carry out a variety of highway maintenance duties as instructed on a day-to-day basis to ensure the efficient running of the Area 3 network.

What you'll be doing:
As an Operative you will carry out highways maintenance duties as instructed this will include winter maintenance when appropriate. Respond promptly to incidents on the network. Work in close cooperation with team members and subcontractors, contributing to the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment for both the network users and work team by ensuring compliance all H&S procedures. Contribute to the promotion of customer care by working closely with team members to ensure client and network users are dealt with in a polite and courteous manner. You will liaise directly with the Site Supervisor, Network HUB and stakeholders where required.
It is an essential requirement that you can operate a variety of plant and equipment to carry out the required duties effectively.
We are seeking candidates who:
- 12ab Lantra traffic management trained
- Basic Lantra VRS qualification
- LGV driving licence group "C" minimum.
- Asset Management Awareness - operational level required
- Experience and knowledge of strict H&S operations and its practical implications
- Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team
- Valid CSCS card
