Utilities Ganger / Operative


Location: based on sites in Maidstone
Business Area: Kier Utilities- UK Power Networks
Contract: Permanent:Full Time
Salary: Competative + great benefits

We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services and we are looking for a Ganger / General Operative to join the team in Maidstone working on or framework with UK Power Networks (UKPN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out and complete excavation and cable laying work on the UKPN network as directed.
  • General site supervision, including completion of all records as required.
  • All Health and Safety issues on site, completion of records.
  • Communicating with the Supervisor and other colleagues to monitor progress and inform of problems.
  • To ensure proper use of plant and materials, keeping wastage to a minimum.
What do we need from you?

  • Training can be provided if not already held, but our operatives will be NRSWA qualified and Cat & Genny Trained
  • Full driving licence
