We are now recruiting for a GIS (Geographical Information Systems) Technician to join the GIS department for Kier Highways as part of the Highways Design Services, in which we will look to you to undertake all GIS projects and workflows as directed by the GIS & STATS Team Leader, provide analysis and process data from all areas of the business and display outcomes in meaningful and understandable ways, such as on maps, graphs, charts and spreadsheets, as well as work with the GIS department to deliver cutting-edge data solutions to the business.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate? You should be able to demonstrate a high level of IT competency, experience with all Microsoft Office packages, and the use of complex databases and spreadsheets. You would ideally have advanced experience using AutoCAD, ESRI ArcGIS and AGOL, knowledge of highway networks and associated assets, as well as be able to translate end user requirements into working solutions.
