Location: Exeter - based out of our Exeter office with some travel to other offices and sites
Contract: Permanent. We can offer this role as either full time or part time, please specify in your application.
Salary: £18k-£25k FTE + Pension + Benefits
Responsibilities
As a GIS Technician, you'll be working within the Highways team and contribution in the advancement of GIS and supported solutions to the wider kier business.
Your day to day will include:
- Support in the GIS and data management as well as offer back-office support functions as required
- You will ensure high accuracy of all data that you are a curator of
- Capture location assets using various technologies and GPS tools
Who are we looking for?
This role of GIS Technician is great for you if: - Hold a high level of IT competency, experience with all Microsoft Office packages and if possible, the use of complex SQL databases and spreadsheets and range of the ESRI ArcGIS products across desktop, server/web and mobile devices
- Understand GIS application development and management and grasp spatial analysis and report generation
- Have skills to provide training on the use of GIS related software, applications and documents and prepare maps, reports, and other relevant information to stakeholders
