Location: Birmingham with hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime (Part-time working available, just let us know)
Salary: Up to £30k + 26 days of annual leave + Benefits
As a GIS Technician, you'll be part of the Asset Management Team, supporting GIS Manager and reporting to the Asset Manager. You'll work as a part of a team managing all highways asset information using and Asset Management System and Geographical Information Systems.
Your day to day will include:
· Capturing, managing and analysing highways asset maintenance data in GIS (ArcGIS and Confirm) from multiple sources and in a variety of formats both desktop and mobile oriented
· Georeferencing and digitising map data
· Preparation of maintenance of data in ArcGIS Online Environments
· Semi-automation of cartographic workflow (Model Builder/Python)
· Working with other members of the Asset Management team collaboratively to deliver projects to programme and to meet client requirements
Who are we looking for?
This role of GIS Technician is great for you if you have:
· Experience of using ArcGIS Pro including digitisation, data capture, translation, data editing, manipulation and data querying, filtering and summarising (ArcGIS, MS Excel, MS Access etc.)
· Experience in Asset Management Systems such as Confirm
· Good time management skills with an eye for a detail and accuracy and the ability to deliver targets
