About the role:

As Global Marketing Director, you will be responsible for leading the world-wide commercial launch of Pharmanovia's first in class medicine, SunosiĀ® (solriamfetol), used to improve wakefulness and reduce excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) in adults with narcolepsy or obstructive sleep. You will also be the leader within the organisation who will establish and shape Pharmanovia's Sleep Disorder Portfolio which includes current and future pipeline treatments in development.

This role demands a seasoned leader who has experience from across the commercial value chain in both marketing and sales. You will be the driving force behind the development and implementation of the global brand strategy and programs. You will have P&L responsibility / targets and will be expected to work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure all aspects of strategic planning, development of promotional tools, sales force implementation, and launch performance monitoring are executed to perfection.

Prior experience within Sleep Disorders, Narcolepsy, OSA, Neurology and/or Psychiatry is a major asset.

Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of Global Marketing, this role is part of the Strategic Marketing & Market Access business area led by the Chief Brand Officer.

This position can be based in in a hybrid setup anywhere in Europe - preference for Copenhagen, Denmark, or the United Kingdom.

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive launch strategy for the product launches for sleep disorders in line with company goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of cross-functional experts, including medical affairs, market access, sales, and marketing teams, to achieve successful product launch.
  • Develop and manage the product launch budget, ensuring efficient and effective utilisation of resources.
  • Work closely with the research and development team to ensure the successful completion of clinical trials and regulatory submissions.
  • Drive development and delivery of promotional materials and sales force training.
  • Develop and implement marketing programs in key markets and manage and track performance and return on investment.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient groups, advocacy groups, and regulatory bodies, to maximize product awareness and adoption.
  • Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and risks and develop appropriate strategies to address them.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, professional organisations, and other stakeholders to build brand awareness and credibility.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the launch and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure product success.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry codes of practice, and company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management on product launch progress and escalate issues and concerns as appropriate.

To thrive and succeed in this role you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as life sciences, business, or marketing; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong track record of launching successful products.
  • Strong knowledge of sleep disorder treatments and the competitive landscape.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing budgets.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities while managing risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their goals.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience working with regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
