Summary
To assist the Head of Research and Analytics to provide timely intelligence-led insight and research that helps to identify new land and housing development opportunities. Help prepare technical demographic, socioeconomic and GIS mapping evidence to inform investment and planning decisions. You will help seek out opportunities to raise the profile of the business through thought-leadership media opportunities and creating marketing collateral.

Main Responsibilities
- Identify and analyse planning and housing industry data to support the acquisition of new land, and help identify opportunities to progress the existing portfolio of land through the planning system.
- Provide timely intelligence-led marketing collateral covering key planning and housing information.
- Prepare briefing papers, and thought-leadership on emerging planning and housing policy, guidance and legislation.
- Maintain and update the Research and Analytics databases and Geographical Information System library.
- Develop a sound knowledge of, and keep up-to-date with changes to the planning system, and the residential land market.
- Where opportunities arise, support the work of our Land, Planning and Technical teams. There would be scope for career progression into a town planning or land-acquisition specialism.
Ideal Candidate
- Ideally have a basic understanding of the planning system and / or the property industry (but not essential and can be trained).
- A forensic approach to research with an ability to combine multiple information / data streams.
- Be an inquisitive and innovative self-starter,
- Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office and GIS (QGIS or ArcGIS).
- Ability to clearly and accurately present complex information through written and verbal communication.
- Robust organisational skills to manage competing deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements.
