Renewco Power has created an 18 month Graduate Programme which allows our Graduates to experience all departments that make up an end to end utility scale early stage development company.

Upon completion of the programme you will be placed in a permanent role in the most suitable department relevant to your skill set choosing from Development, technical or commercial departments. This opportunity allows those recently graduated or about to graduate candidates who are really interested in renewable energy and helping to make a difference regarding climate change to get into this industry and thrive.

As a Graduate you will be developed through a full programme and whilst doing that support the team in numerous internal and external processes such as:

  • Learning the fundamentals of renewable energy project development from securing sites grid, planning and other approvals as well as designing the optimal technical solution for the project and arranging finance
  • Assisting in managing the planning, development and project management processes of assigned projects
  • Visiting sites and reaching agreement with landowners through to instructing lawyers to conclude lease agreements
  • Engaging with communities and stakeholders in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Progress and management reporting
  • Working with various members of the team with specific technical specialisms (including wind, solar and storage) and supporting them in technical aspects of our projects
  • Gain an understanding of financial modelling of our projects and potential projects, assisting our Senior investment analyst in order to learn what and how a project 'stacks up'
  • Conducting new market entry studies, evaluations of new technologies and other ad-hoc projects that contribute to Renewco's ambitious goals


Qualifications and experience:

  • You must be a quick and enthusiastic learner
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail
  • A good level Degree
  • Strong interest in the environment and renewable energy with a desire to build a career in the renewable energy industry
  • Preferable to have a working knowledge of CAD and GIS software
  • Confident to learn and use Windows based software tools
  • Have strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Display an innovative approach to problem solving and be able to visualise and communicate ideas
  • Have an appreciation of the wider business and environmental impact of design ideas
  • Be a proactive and supportive member of the team
