Groundworker
Job Type: Permanent

Location: Westminster
Salary: £33,000 per annum
We are looking for a Groundworker to join the Property Services team in Westminster. You will be carrying out a variety of technical service tasks such as communal paving, road working, flagging and fencing within a social housing setting.
Daily responsibilities of a Groundworker are:
- Operating various ground works machines such as lawn mowers and ground maintenance equipment
- Managing and operating pickup/dumper trucks required for various hauling activities
- Undertaking regular maintenance on the equipment and tools
- Maintaining parking lots and undertaking minor repairs on the surface as and when required
- Installation of site/external signs and barriers to control traffic when performing repair work
- Monitor ground/surface area and identify repair work required
- Perform assessment on work schedules and collect all materials as per job/task required
- Maintain records of site before and after the work in form of photographs
- Manage all tools and equipment necessary for ground work
- Identify training for using materials on efficiently
- Prepared reports for any defects on equipment and materials for management
- Work with building surveyor to establish ground levels
- Set out drainage / land waste drains
- Marking out and digging shallow trenches for foundations and drains
- Form-working (putting up or dismantling the shuttering that holds setting concrete in place)
- Steel fixing (bending and fixing the bars used to reinforce concrete structures)
Requirements of a Groundworker are:
- Trade related qualification, city and guilds, NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- Full UK Driving Licence (minimum of 12 months)
- CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card
- Ability to use hand tools
- DBS checked
