Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Pay Rate: £20.00 - £20.50 per hour
We're looking for an experienced Groundworker to join a dedicated maintenance team operating across social housing properties in Bedfordshire. This Groundworker role is ideal for someone experienced in external repairs and hard landscaping, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and tenant satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Repairing and replacing damaged fencing and paving in communal and residential areas
- Digging post holes, setting fence posts in concrete, and ensuring proper alignment.
- Laying, cutting, and repairing paving slabs, block paving, and pathways.
- Preparing groundworks including excavation, levelling, and compaction.
- Working safely around tenants, the public, and other trades.
- Removing and disposing of waste materials responsibly
- Communicating professionally and courteously with tenants and supervisors
- Using a PDA device to receive job instructions, record progress, and update task completion.
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
- City & Guilds in General Construction Operations
