Groundworks supervisor required for a permanent position in Taunton. The contractor is a well establish groundworks and excavation subcontractor with a large amount of work in the Taunton area spanning over the next 5-6 years. The majority of their work is on housing sites and providing infrastructure

They are seeking a time served groundworks supervisor to work alongside the site management team working to deliver a good service. The ideal candidate will have experience of groundworks both as a tradesman and as a manager.

Abilities of a groundworks supervisor Include:

    • Read drawings and communicate works to team
    • Organise workers and ensure program of works is adhered to
    • Sit in on and contribute to progress meetings with site management team
    • Conducting tool box talks
    • Ensuring paperwork is completed and organised
    • Quality assurance
    • Adhering to health and safety policies for yourself and the team
    • Site inductions

Requirements for the role

  • SSSTS/ SMSTS
  • CSCS card
  • First aid at work
  • Experience of groundworks
  • Any plant tickets and associated groundwork's tickets such as confined spaces, asbestos awareness etc would be an advantage but not essential.
