We're delighted to be supporting a great FE college to recruit to the position of HE Pathway Leader for Construction. This role is an important position ensuring HR provision within the Construction area is delivered and developed in the best way.
Role responsibilities
- Providing leadership and support to lecturers delivering the contract 's HE provision
- Designing teaching materials and delivering teaching across a range of modules/units from the contract's HE provision
- The use of appropriate teaching, learning support and assessment methods, including those
appropriate for both scholarly and practice?based activities
- The supervision of student dissertations, projects and placements
- Identification of areas where current teaching provision could be complemented by innovative new developments
- Planning, design and development of teaching and learning objectives and materials.
- Seeing, marking and assessing work and providing feedback to students
- Having responsibility for the progress and achievement of the contract 's HE students
- Ensuring that, when necessary, HE students have access to adequate support structures, as
provided by the University
- A ending assessment and governance boards, ensuring that the delivery of HE programmes
meets the University 's policy and quality requirements.
- Liaising with external stakeholders, including external examiners, employers and university
representatives
Coordinating the delivery, assessment and quality assurance of the contact 's HE provision.
- Ensuring that the contract's HE provision conforms with the college's policies and systems, as appropriate
The person & qualifications
- Level 4/5 subject specialism qualification
- Formal teaching qualification
- Experienced in leading HE provision and 5 years experience teaching
- Understanding and experience with QAA inspections
