Head of Communications
Pharmanovia is a fast-growing pharmaceutical company with a portfolio of over 20 brands across 140+ markets. Our Therapeutic areas include Cardiovascular, Women's Health & Endocrinology, Neurology & Pain and Gastroenterology and Oncology.
The role
As Head of Communications at Pharmanovia, you will lead the strategic direction, development and implementation of our communications programme. Your role will require you to develop communications plans encompassing a range of media (including traditional and digital communications channels), and you will be responsible for telling our story and protecting and strengthening the company's reputation.
You will oversee all internal and external communications and to align these with our strategic objectives and priorities.
Core responsibilities
Internal Comms
- Creating internal communication plans and campaigns (both regional and global) focused on the Company's Long Range Plan and growth strategy and vision, including our ESG and sustainability agenda.
- Working with the communications manager to co-ordinating a variety of communication channels to engage with colleagues and drive our key strategic messages.
- Working with the communications manager and HR Team to roll out a communications strategy that fosters a sense of community across our global network of employees and which cultivates trust and drives collaboration internally including campaigns around people initiatives, recognition, innovation and conduct risk & controls.
External Comms
- Creating and implementing communications strategy including financial and investor communications, crisis communications, media relations and campaigns.
- Enhancing media engagement and positive coverage in international, national and trade media - working alongside PR agencies where necessary.
- Working with the [Head of Digital] to optimise our digital and social media strategy.
- Ensuring the brand is presented globally in the best possible light though active management of press, events, media relationships and collaborations.
- Continuing to develop the corporate website, brand guide and associated collaterals.
What we are looking for:
- BA in Communications, Journalism, PR or Marketing is an advantage, though other degrees are acceptable.
- Experienced in transforming communications and brands in fast-moving and competitive environments.
- Proven experience of developing and leading communication and/or marketing campaigns.
- Strong background project managing from concept to conclusion and managing budgets.
- A creative candidate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to build positive stakeholder relationships, enabling effective collaboration.
- Experience of planning and implementing communication strategies and plans working with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A strategic thinker.
- Strong stakeholder relations experience.
