Kier Places are recruiting for an experienced Head of Estimating to join our passionate team. With our diverse portfolio of projects, we are looking for an individual who has a passion for the project at hand and securing work whilst also being able to work as part of a closely knit team which has an opportunity to develop and control its own destiny. We understand this approach is essential to ensure we consistently win work and secure repeat business.
The Head of Estimating will own the delivery and continuous improvement of estimating services across Kier Places. Covering works such as Traditional Housing Maintenance, Capital Project Work - including but not limited to general construction projects, large scale building safety improvement and regeneration with values ranging from £500k - £10m - and Facilities Management (predominantly Hard Services).
Key Responsibilities
The Head of Estimating will own the management and continued improvement of the estimating services provided by the preconstruction team of Kier Places; ensuring that the team is correctly sized, skilled and works effectively alongside the rest of the work winning team of Kier Places, delivering compelling tender submissions.

What do we need from you?
The ideal Head of Estimating will have a strong Estimating background and across a diverse range of projects from Housing Maintenance, Capital Projects, Property Construction to Hard Services.
The Head of Estimating will also have experience working on competitive and negotiated contracts and framework opportunities and be strong at negotiation and pricing effectively. With experience of single and two stage tenders, the Head of Estimating will also have experience of managing teams of estimators and pricing of works across multiple schemes.
