Job Title: Head of Estimating Location: Crawley, West Sussex Business Area: Regional Buildings - Southern

With a strong order book this is an exciting time to join our Southern region who are recruiting for a Head of Estimating. Our southern Construction region is made up of 3 offices, based in Southampton, Crawley and Maple Cross.

Job responsibilities

Reporting in to the Preconstruction Director you will be managing the estimating process and day to day work of the Estimating team to ensure that the prime cost in every estimate is accurate. Effective leadership and succession planning will be vital for the development of the team to ensure the bids are produced to the highest standard. You will need to support the development and implementation of the estimating budget (cost) for the business unit and the overall financial budget. Being involved from inception to completion you will need to manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring the team is being complaint with Kier's Group SHE policies and procedures.

What do we need from you?

As this role will need you to lead, advise and support on bids, we are looking for someone with experience in a similar role including a solid background of experience in building projects valued £5m to £60m plus in education, commercial, leisure, healthcare and similar sectors.
