Head of Finance - Respect

£52,772-£55,849 including ILW plus 6% employers pension contribution and other benefits

Respect are looking for a Head of Finance who can lead on our financial reporting and management, support staff to oversee budgets, and develop processes to ensure the effective flow of information. Key responsibilities

The Head of Finance is a member of Respect's Senior Leadership Team (SLT), responsible for:

  • Financial management and control.
  • Financial compliance and risk.
  • Development of systems and processes to ensure all staff are equipped to manage budgets and contribute to reporting and sound financial management.

What we are looking for

  • At least 5 years post qualification experience, including experience of a leadership role in managing a small finance team.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of charity SORP requirements.
  • Experience of producing clear, accurate management and financial accounts.
  • Experience of setting a complex, whole organisation, multi-project budget, monitor progress against budget and produce forecasts to year end.
  • Evidence of effectively managing and controlling the complex range of tasks to ensure Respect adheres to the highest standards of financial accounting, risk management and legal compliance.

Location: Our base is in London EC4A 4BL however we expect this role to be largely home based with some travel for meetings as required.

Reporting: The post holder will report to our Operations Director and is responsible for a Finance Officer.

Salary: £52,772-£55,849 including ILW plus 6% employers pension contribution and other benefits

Hours: Flexible, ideally full time but part time (minimum 28 hours) will be considered. The workload will be more intensive at certain times of the year than others (e.g. producing quarterly accounts and forecasts, statutory accounts and budget setting) and we require someone in post who is able to be flexible according to workload. In return we offer home-working and flexible working hours.
