Due to continued success in securing consultancy work, they are expanding their team and seeking a Health & Safety Consultant. This role offers the chance to make a real impact while receiving the support needed to advance in business development, technical expertise, or professional growth.

The Role:

  • Primarily focused on delivering CDM Services, with the potential to provide additional Health & Safety Services.
  • Responsible for various roles established under CDM 2015, ensuring compliance in all technical and contractual aspects.
  • Based in Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Aberdeen, covering sectors such as property, industrial, and education.
  • Providing Health & Safety Services on independent commissions and as part of wider project delivery.
  • Producing pre-construction information, files, and other associated CDM documents.
  • Ensuring Designer compliance and reviewing contractor documentation.
  • Engaging with clients and design teams throughout projects.
  • Advising on procurement options and consultant appointments.
  • Staying updated with current legal developments in construction and associated law.
  • Proactively contributing to business development within the region.


What's Required:

  • Relevant experience, ideally from a design or construction background.
  • Technical or professional qualification in design or construction.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum requirement).
  • Preferable membership with APS / IOSH.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and wider Health & Safety issues.
  • Working knowledge of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
  • Health & Safety training capability may be an advantage.
