We are Kier, one of the UK's leading Construction and Infrastructure services, working on projects such as Hinkley Point C and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. We are now recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join our Infrastructure - Major Projects Team to work on our Devonport Royal Dockyard, Infrastructure Upgrade Projects.
Key Responsibilities
In this exciting Health & Safety Manager role, you'll ensure Safety, Health & Wellbeing strategy is both implemented and promoted on the contract. You'll review or produce risk control documents, review supply chain risk control documents and assist operations to manage risk. In addition, you'll collate and communicate performance metrics and monthly data and ensure all incidents are notified and investigated. In this role you'll also undertake and participate in external and internal audit and inspection programmes; manage audit and inspection schedules on contract and ensure compliance.
What do we need from you?
You'll be a Diploma holder or equivalent in Health & Safety and hold Environmental qualification at Certificate level. You'll be a Graduate member of IOSH working towards CMIOSH and be a Lantra 12ab one day/12D T7 or NRSWA Supervisor. In addition, you'll have previous experience in a similar role and have knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and ISO 14001, 18001, 31000, 45001.
