Health & Safety Manager Job in Northampton
Health & Safety Manager job in Northampton for a reputable, privately owned housebuilder joining their South Midlands region. Our client is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager, preferably with a housebuilding background or high-volume residential main contracting background to cover sites across Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire, offering a basic of between £50,000 - £60,000 + Car Allowance £8230 or Company Car + Fuel Card + 10% Bonus.
Our client was established 50 years ago, with 10 offices across the Midlands, East Anglia, Southwest and Northwest. They are one of the UK's largest privately owned housebuilders, they strive to deliver quality housing that is sympathetic to the individual area and community. Their South Midlands Region is currently delivering 600 units per year within an hour's radius of their Northampton office. To be considered you must have a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and a Full UK Driving Licence, the role will be split between sites and their office in Northampton one day per week.
Role & Responsibilities
- Reporting into the Senior Health & Safety Manager, based at their South Midlands Regional Office in Northampton
- Ensure that H&S standards on site are maintained and that each development is compliant with procedures
- Regular interaction with Directors
- Full involvement in the CDM process
- Site visits to undertake accident investigations and site audits
- Delivery of training and seminars
- Liaise with external H&S/Environmental Consultants.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years' experience as a Health & Safety Manager
- Experience in construction Health & Safety Management for a housebuilder/residential main contractor
- NEBOSH or equivalent
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel across Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire.
