Position: Health and Safety Officer (6 - 9 month contract)

Location: Limerick

Salary: Neg DOE

The Job:

Excellent opportunity to join a well established construction company in Limerick, mainly office based but some travel maay be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Hold a relevant Qualification
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience on building projects in Ireland or the UK
  • Will have previous experience working on construction sites
  • Hold a full, clean Driving license
  • Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office including strong excel skills
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills

Requirements:

  • Ensure H&S management systems are implemented and maintained across the site.
  • Managing the administration for the Health & Safety induction & training plans for all site personnel.
  • Regularly review and assisting the update Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures and Safety Statement.
  • Manage training & compliance files for all colleagues & sub-contractors
  • Ensure that staff have all the relevant manuals and training certifications
  • Review sub-contractors' Safety Statements and Safety Compliance.
  • Promote a continuous improvement culture in relation to all health, safety and environmental work practices on the site.
  • Conduct site audits, safety inspections.
  • Generate Tool Box Talks
  • Investigate/report accidents and incidents on-site ensuring relevant accident information for insurance purposes
