Health & Safety Job in Northamptonshire
Health & Safety Manager job in Northamptonshire working for a reputable, privately owned housebuilder. Our client is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager, preferably with a housebuilding or high-volume residential main contracting background to cover sites across Herefordshire through to East Anglia, including Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, and Buckinghamshire. Salary up to £66,000 + 10% Bonus +Car allowance £9,497 + Hybrid working.
Our client was established 50 years ago, with 10 offices across the Midlands, East Anglia, Southwest, and Northwest. They are one of the UK's largest privately owned housebuilders, they strive to deliver quality housing that is sympathetic to the individual area and community.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deputising in the absence of the Senior Health & Safety Manager, or supporting the other Health & Safety Manager
- Liaising across internal departments
- Striving for improvement in meeting legal compliance
- Focusing on high-risk sites and monitoring new sites coming on stream
- Assisting the CDM Facilitator with the completion of CDM documentation in compliance with the business's CDM processes and legislative requirements
- Highlighting and shortfalls to the Senior Health & Safety Manager and Regional Senior Management Teams
- Investigating accidents and incidents within all parts of the business
- Provide concise accident and incident investigation reports
- Involvement with consortium sites and joint collaboration agreements
Carrying out training
- Attendance and input at pre-start meetings
- Help reduce insurance claims
- Support with reports on sub-subcontractors' performance
Required Skills & Experience
- 2 years + as a Health & Safety Manager
- Experience with Health & Safety in relation to construction operations
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- NVQ 5 in Occupational Health and Safety
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel across Herefordshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, and East Anglia.
