HGV Driver / Operative Location; Paignton Contract: South West Water Kier Utilities is looking to recruit a Class 2 HGV Driver, who will report to the Depot Manager. The successful candidate will work within the reinstatement team, backfilling and tarmacing following water main maintenance work
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering Stone and Sand to multiple live streetworks site via Hi-ab lift and removing surplus material to depot
Assist with Backfilling excavations using Trench Rammer
Drive commercial vehicles safely
Ensure daily checks are undertaken on the vehicles
Ensure that safe lifting and working practices are observed and appropriate personal protective clothing is worn at all times
Ensure all of the company Health and Safety requirements are adhered to
Compete daily paperwork as appropriate
Remain in contact with the Supervisor/Office Staff and be responsive to operational needs
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence for at least 2 years
Holder of a LGV Cat C (HGV2) licence
experience of undertaking regular vehicle checks including oil, water and battery levels
Experience of Reinstatement Work
Ability to navigate using maps and books provided (desired)
Reliable, conscientious, flexible and punctual
