Kier Strategic Highways are looking to recruit Highways Maintenance Operatives to report to the Supervisor. The successful post holder will be responsible for supporting the Areas 6&8 highways maintenance contract, operating as part of the team to deliver works as directed.
This role will involve frequent night working on an 11 hour shift pattern with regular overtime. Staff will be paid on a monthly basis.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- HGV 1 or 2 driving licence
- Experience in general construction or civil engineering work
- Experience in site safety procedures
- Experience in working to deadlines and targets
- To be a good communicator and to be able to pass on skills
- To be a good self-organiser
- Able to work in a team and under own initiative
- To be assertive and diplomatic
- Self-motivating and a good motivator of the labour force
- Generally willing, helpful, enthusiastic and flexible
Desirable:
- Experience in Traffic Management
- Clean current HGV Driving licence
- Drivers CPC
- NRSWA Streetworks Operative qualification
- Stihl saw certificate
- Pedestrian Roller
- First aid or appointed person
- Literate & numerate
- IT Skills
