We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services, working on projects such as Local and Strategic Highways.
We are now recruiting for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Highways team in Stafford/Telford to carry out highways maintenance duties which will include winter maintenance as well as responding promptly to incidents on the network as instructed.
What you'll be doing:
It will be imperative to work in close cooperation with team members and subcontractors, contributing to the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment.
Complete daily record sheets as required and retain records, carry out daily defect reports on vehicles and ensure vehicles are maintained in good order. When required, you will contribute to weekend, bank holiday working and out of hours/call out rosters.
We are seeking candidates who:
- Are 12ab Lantra traffic management trained/basic Lantra VRS qualified
- Hold a LGV driving licence (Group C minimum)
- Demonstrate experience and knowledge of strict health & safety operations and the related practical implications
- Can work using their own initiative and as part of a team
- Have a valid CSCS card
