We are now recruiting for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Highways team in Shropshire to Maintenance & Repair (M&R) Supervisor with the efficient and timely delivery of the M&R service requirements across the network.

What you'll be doing:

In this role you will carry out Highway Maintenance duties as instructed this will include being part of the winter maintenance and Emergency's Callout. It will be imperative to work in close cooperation with team members and subcontractors, contributing to the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment. Carry out collective and personal RAs in accordance with company requirements. Contribute to the promotion of customer care by working closely with team members to ensure client and network users are dealt with in a polite and courteous manner. It is crucial you can operate a variety of plant and equipment in order to carry out required duties effectively. Assist with ensuring that site and company equipment is always secure.

We are seeking candidates who:

  • 12ab Lantra traffic management trained
  • Basic Lantra VRS qualification
  • LGV driving licence (Group C minimum)
  • Asset Management Awareness - operational level required
  • Experience and knowledge of strict Health & Safety operations and the related practical implications
  • Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team
  • Valid CSCS card
