Responsibilities
As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you'll be working within the Highways Team, supporting them to respond promptly to incidents on the network as instructed.
Your day to day will include:
- Deliver operational activities across the Suffolk Highways contract, including reactive, cyclical, winter and schemes related to capital maintenance and improvement works
- Ensure all works carried out meet the required quality standards and are completed in line with associated time frames, providing information to certify works risks are mitigated and commercial returns are realised, all in accordance with Suffolk Highways processes and procedures.
- Work closely with other Suffolk Highways business functions, to achieve the successful delivery of the annual contractor's plan and programme.
This role of a Highways Maintenance Operative is great for you if you have:
- Are New Roads Street Works Act (NRSWA) accredited as well as completed cable avoidance training
- Demonstrate experience of appropriate traffic management requirements, including the signing and guarding of highway works.
- Hold a full driving licence
