We're looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Highways Team. Location: Stanford Depot, Honeywood

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £23k - £28k (weekly paid) + benefits package



Responsibilities

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you'll be working within the Highways Team to carry out highways maintenance duties as instructed as well as winter maintenance, and emergency response when required.



Your duties will include:

  • Respond promptly to incidents on the network as instructed.
  • Carry out a wide variety of maintenance activities including defect rectification.
  • Work closely with team members to actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety Management System.
  • You will be required to work nights and days as instructed and also required to participate in out of hours rotas for emergency response.


Who are we looking for?

This role of a Highways Maintenance Operative is great for you if you have the following but not essential:

  • 12A,B,C,D Lantra Traffic Management trained.
  • Basic Lantra VRS qualification
  • Experience and Knowledge of strict H&S operations
  • LGV driving licence group "C" minimum.
