An exciting position for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join the Highways team based in Thimble Mill Lane Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
As a Highway Maintenance Operative, you will provide help in maintaining the BCC network. Use a CDA lance as part of a two-man team to treat weeds along the network during the summer months, as part of a two man team to plant young trees around the network during the winter months. Plus, other duties as directed by your Supervisor.
What do we need from you?
Physically fit as you will be required to walk long distances whilst weed spraying and excavating and lifting whilst tree planting. Full UK driving license required. PA1/PA6 spraying license desirable.
