We are now looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Highways team in Birmingham to support the BHMMS Project in all aspects of Street Furniture/structures work. Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive plus benefits
Responsibilities
As Highways Maintenance Operative, you will be working with the Graffiti team on all aspects of graffiti removal from the network.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Removal of vegetation and debris from the network.
- Assist, as directed by either Kier management or the Police, with Highways Emergencies to ensure the Project Roads are available for the maximum amount of time practicable
- Understand the practical requirements of the Project requirements - Output Specification - and ensure this requirement are adhered to at all times
Who are we looking for?
This role of Highways Maintenance Operative is great for you if you have:
- Demonstrate good knowledge of Health and Safety especially relating to highways operations
- Hold relevant essential qualifications in traffic management, incident response, winter maintenance and highway maintenance operational tasks
- UK driving licence.
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme qualified at a skilled worker level or higher
