At the forefront of manufacturing for construction this company are, establishing new factories to produce high quality housing. Well-funded, and run by some of the UK's leading experts this is an exceptional opportunity to help take offsite manufacturing forward to new levels. Health and safety will be critical in moving from building processes to manufactured processes, and they are now looking to fill a new role for HSE Advisor to embed high standards in Health, Safety and Environmental into the DNA of the business.


As HSE Advisor, you will be setting the standards for Occupational Health and Safety to achieve and maintain BS OHSAS 18001 accreditation and setting the framework for an effective environmental management system, achieving and maintaining ISO14001. As the role develops, you will be playing a significant part in ensuring full compliance with legislation and the relevant standards, and you will be developing the company's HSE manual and policies and getting the message across to your colleagues throughout the business.


The ideal HSE Advisor will be:

  • Ideally degree-level qualified in construction, manufacturing or engineering
  • IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management
  • NEBOSH / IOSH qualfied, as well as a recognised Environmental qualification
  • Solid experience in a HSE Advisor or HSE Manager role
  • Previous experience in implementing HSE and/or ISO accreditation and a QMS framework, as well as designing formal training in health, safety and environmental
  • Ideally you will be familiar with CDM Regulations or have some construction experience, and be willing to train towards certification
  • You will have a strong eye for detail, be well organised and an excellent communicator, including an ability to influence others at all levels
  • You will be able to work to challenging targets and deadlines and be a sound decision-maker
