Our client is an established and fast-growing provider of advanced HVAC and energy solutions across commercial, industrial, and mission-critical markets. With a strong reputation in delivering high-performance, sustainable systems, they're seeking a Sales Director to lead national business development, expand key customer relationships, and drive revenue growth across the U.S.

This is a high-visibility leadership role for a driven sales executive ready to shape national strategy and scale a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a national sales strategy focused on commercial and industrial HVAC solutions, including retrofit, new construction, and energy-efficient upgrades.

Lead and grow a team of regional sales managers and account executives across multiple territories.

Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and target accounts across verticals including healthcare, life sciences, education, data centers, and government.

Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients, contractors, engineers, and channel partners.

Collaborate with operations, engineering, and marketing teams to align offerings with customer needs and market trends.

Monitor market activity, competitor positioning, and pricing strategy to maintain a competitive edge.

Drive pipeline development, forecast accuracy, and sales KPIs using CRM tools and data-driven decision making.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and strategic client meetings.

Champion a consultative, solution-based selling approach rooted in customer value and long-term relationships.

Experience Required:

8-15+ years of progressive sales experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, or energy services (with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role).

Proven track record of leading multi-region or national sales teams and consistently exceeding revenue targets.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and building performance applications.

Existing relationships with large commercial/industrial customers, ESCOs, or mechanical contractors a major plus.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Experience in consultative/solutions selling, project-based sales, and long-cycle opportunities.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field; MBA or technical background preferred.
