Hydraulic Modeller - Water Networks
Excellent opportunity to utilise your design skills and move into project management, being part of the team advising the client of possible solutions to the Water network problem.
Location:- Southern Region (London to Brighton)
Salary:- £45,000 - £50,000 basic
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Modeller to join our dynamic Water Networks team, supporting the design, analysis, and optimisation of new and existing clean water and wastewater networks across the South of England.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping sustainable water infrastructure and ensuring the reliable delivery of vital services to communities. You will work on a variety of projects from feasibility studies and network planning to capital delivery and operational support, applying hydraulic modelling expertise to drive technical excellence and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop hydraulic network design solutions for clean water networks
- Undertake capacity assessments, demand forecasting, and network performance analysis to inform investment and operational decisions.
- Support the design and assessment of new infrastructure and upgrades to existing pipework networks.
- Analyse model outputs to identify network constraints, leakage risks, Pressure, and opportunities for efficiency improvement.
- Prepare technical reports, model outputs, and presentation material for internal and external stakeholders.
This role is a great opportunity to develop your project management skills from design in to stakeholder management. Working within the Water Network team as the technical expert, providing advice on the various solutions needed to handle various problems within the clean water network (Leakage, Pressure management, Valve introductions etc…
Working in a hybrid capacity, you must be able to work on-site 2-3 days a week as you will be embedded in the client's team and speaking with stakeholders on a daily basis.
Required Experience:
- HNC/HND/Degree in an Engineering subject
- Experience of working in the Water sector, be it water provider, consultancy or contractor
- Worked as a design engineer in Hydraulic modelling (Water Networks NOT River/Costal)
- Full Driving licence
