Job Description

As an IDR Refund Analyst, you'll manage refund reconciliation, validate settlement data, coordinate resolutions with key teams, ensure audit-ready records, and support reporting and compliance processes while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism across healthcare financial operations.

    • The Qualifications We Seek

  • College degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 1 year refund experience
  • IDR experience preferred
    • Skills / Specialized Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of refunds processing and collections
  • Knowledge of independent dispute resolution process
  • Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with data analysis and reconciliation tools
  • Knowledge of laws that regulate communication and privacy act

  • Must maintain professional appearance
  • Ability to be at work at regular and consistent times

  • Develop and organize reports into a format easily evaluated by leadership
  • Perform daily reconciliation of outstanding refunds across all 15 IDREs
  • Analyze payer remittances and IDR settlement data to validate refund eligibility
  • Process refund transactions in compliance with controls, contracts, and regulations
  • Coordinate with refund team leads and accounting to resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready records
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies for resolution
  • Assist with month-end reporting and internal audits
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve open refund items
  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to improve processes
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the arbitration process
  • Communicate professionally in all internal and external dealings
  • Other duties as assigned
