*Applications close on 17th July 2019 Introduction: Kier Local Highways are looking for a Support Operator to join the Local Highways team in Surrey.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate routine and special inspections programme in collaboration with HE asset lead and Structures Portfolio Manager.
Liaising with the HE asset leads to assess defects and review appropriateness for inclusion in VM process.
Liaising with assessment team to ensure defects/structures are appropriately analysed and investigated. Action outcomes of any assessments as appropriate.
Develop studies and future management strategies in collaboration with HE OD/SES and in accordance with relevant standards/legislation. Action outcomes of any studies/management strategies as appropriate.
Prepare appropriate documentation for presentation at VM workshops. Collaboration with relevant parties (i.e. Designers, Supply Chain, Commercial) when developing VM packs.
Attend VM workshops with representatives from Highways England (HE) SES and OD. Agree scoring with HE as part of workshops and formally record outcomes.
Collaborate with designers, commercial teams, contractors and delivery teams to develop feasible options to address needs. Agree options with representatives from HE SES and OD and develop options reports in accordance with IAN / 14 and BD 2/12.
Agree need for further investigations and facilitate their implementation. Ensure findings from investigations are included in options reports
Skills and Experience required:
Previous hands-on, similar experience
Ability to diagnose faults/requirements and report accurately
Ability to work within: Quality standards for customer contact and Codes of Practice
You must have multiple trade qualifications at NVQ level or equivalent
