Gleeson Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a rapidly growing energy equipment and solutions start-up as they seek to add an Interim Commercial Finance Manager to join their finance team. The business in question has quickly established itself as go-to provider of unparalleled technology and services in their respective market.
This exciting opportunity has arisen to provide maternity cover for a 12-month period and will report to the Chief Finance Officer. This is a broad role that will evolve as offtake progresses, offering the successful candidate high levels of visibility within the organisation and a large degree of variety within the role.
As a successful applicant for this role, you will be a fully qualified accountant with experience of financial business partnering cross-functionally. You will have a proven track record of self-starting with the ability to take the initiative as required and be able to quickly integrate into commercial teams. You will also be comfortable dealing with pricing uncertainties and generating sensible assumptions in the absence of other data sources.
This position will suit a finance professional with the resilience to deal with unexpected challenges in a fast-paced and ambitious environment.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Produce monthly / quarterly management accounts and detailed reporting packages across the business and underlying investments.
- Provide clarity on key financial risks and opportunities and articulate key financial levers.
- Manage close working relationship with Commercial team and customers ensuring business needs are met and cost saving opportunities are recognised.
- Identify areas for improvement and opportunities for business improvements.
- Support in setting up account strategy.
- Prepare periodic sales and margin reporting.
- Oversight over tax and regulatory compliance.
- Review of commercial contracts from financial perspective.
- Consolidate Group business plan analysis.
- Perform adequate checks on the accuracy and completeness of financial models.
- Develop and manage financial reporting activities in support of commercial operations including tracking and reporting of segment KPI's as required by Senior Commercial Managers and Internal Audit Operating Committee
- Coach and advise finance and operational teams to understand and employ good business behaviours.
- Develop and maintain budgeting and planning tools, including process automation and improvements.
- Involvement in ERP, developing and maintaining budgeting and planning tools, including process improvements.
- You may be required to undertake other duties upon the agreement with CFO.
