Interior Architecture job now available in SW London! Suited for experienced technical designers in the high-end residential sector, this role will give you the opportunity to work on private residential projects in some of London's most prime locations!
The practice offers full architectural and interior services from inception to post-completion. The team of 17 comprises of experienced Architects, Assistants, Technicians and Designers with expert knowledge in the high-end residential and commercial sectors. Their portfolio consists of projects in London's most prime locations, plus schemes in Surrey, The Cotswolds, and overseas. Project values typically range from £3million to £4million.
This year has been amazingly busy for the practice and things aren't slowing down, with plans for substantial growth over the next 18 months, they are now expanding their interiors department and are seeking an interior architectural to join its friendly team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Developing and producing design packages for concept presentations, tender, joinery and design intent purpose, plus construction detailing where required
- Producing and effectively communicating design proposals in client presentations
- Liaising with consultants and clients, coordinating the inputs from multiple teams
- Producing schedules and related specifications and information documents to be issued to site and shared in a clear and precise manner to any consultants or specialists involved in the project
- Attending site meetings
- Keeping a tidy and consistent record of the information produced during the various phases of the project.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 + years of experience working on private residential and high end fit-out projects
- Good knowledge of the various interior design styles and current trends in the industry
- Practical knowledge of how to execute design intent including an overall understanding of construction methods (joinery, walling, flooring..)
- Must be AutoCAD proficient and have dantastic Adobe InDesign and Photoshop skills
- Creative and willing to push the design boundaries
- Good understanding of proportions and space
- Meticulous attention to detail and good time management and organisation skills
- Exceptional conceptual and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Hand-sketching skills or hand drawing fluency would be a plus.
